THE MILKY WAY
The Milky Way is a gamified tool to help all employers provide a supportive environment for their employees with new babies; before they go on parental leave, during leave, and after they return to work. In developed countries like Australia, the breastfeeding initiation and continuation rates are far too low. This is, in part, due to attitudes towards breastfeeding and support of feeding choices. Using The Milky Way, the aim is to create a workplace culture which is not pro-formula feeding, where "anywhere it's ok to take a phone call, it's ok to feed or express milk". This project is the result of my Honours year at QUT.
