The brief for this project presented students with the growing need to manage Australia's water security. My research showed that Australian agriculture is the biggest user of water in the country, and that water loss through evaporation has currently not been effectively prevented or mitigated. As a result, I set out to help manage this problem for one part of the country.
The brief also specified that students apply the technique: "application transfer design". I particularly enjoyed this approach to solving a design problem.
This design was submitted to the 2014 Hills Young Australian Design Awards, the only design from QUT in that year.
